The Big House is proud to announce we have begun a 2 year partnership with the Propel Fund. Supported by the Major of London, we are grantees of The New Deal for Young People Programme. This is the start of a 10 year collaboration between key trusts and statutory organisations all over London. In the first 2 years of this work The Big House is part of a contribution to enable 100,000 vulnerable or disadvantaged young people access to quality mentoring. Keep an eye out for the launch of our exciting new Propel projects, curated to support a wider range of young people both in care & leaving care. We are also finalising recruitment for 5 new members of our team! Now having our new Associate Artists on board, The Big House is heading for Virtual Schools, where we will begin to give young people in care an opportunity to experience peer mentoring, improv & a sense of belonging. The Get In has started strong, opening up a pre-OHP mentoring experience, offered to care leavers as young as 16, drop-ins have been great so far! Towards the end of the year our new OG Partnership will be ready to offer creative industry mentorships. This kicks off with a Careers Fair for members to explore and learn about creative career opportunities.
